Installing Halyard winch to the cabin top

Is it acceptible to move the halyard winch and cleats to the cabin top? What structurally needs to be done to suport this with out causing damage? I also asume that all that needs to be done for the Jib and Main halyards is to provide a path (pullys on 90's and guides on lesser degrees of trun) for the lines to run, is this correct?

thats right

You will have to access the underside of the deck to do this but I think the headliner in the 23 is only carpet like materiel use large fender washers or a large aluminum plate to back up the winch. The line organizers and turning blocks will have to be properly positioned just lay it all out before you start drillin' in the deck. JB
