Turnbuckles,
Seth,I have been down that road last year. Open body 1/4" turn buckles are no problem. Make sure CDI sent you the 1/4" turn buckle kit for the drum side of the roller. These are great people and a quick phone call it will be on it's way.The problem I had was I cut the foil short. If you talk to CDI they will tell you that you can cut the foil longer if the fore stay lenght is set. You can actually cut the foil so that the top Black piece actually turns on the upper swaged fitting. This reduces the turning pressure on the forestay. I did have one more problem. The forestay did not have a pin hole in it. I had to drill it for a locking ring. This should be clear when you look at the directions.I loved my CDI. It worked great and gave me no grief. I would put a tent over the boom on hot days. My wife wanted the shade. I would unfurl the jib and sail mainless and keep up with most of the boats on my lake. good luck, if you have any questions just ask.r.w.landau
