need advice on installing and adjusting new turnbuckles on my c30. mine is a tabernackle step mast. I found an instrument on board that looks like some kind of wire adjuster'lipton marine industries" any information on it's use would help.

Try and get your turnbuckles even, that is when you first install the body turn one thread only on the bottom Toggle Fork. This will steady the body when you attach the stud. Stighten until snug. Once you have all the turnbuckles roughly adjusted you want to look up your mast and make sure you have a straight stick. Using the wire guage adjust the shrouds starting at the top. Depending on your sailing conditions adjust the uppers to 8-10% on the guage ( find the wire diameter then perctentage, adjust to the red number). Your headstay to 10 - 12%. The lowers 5 - 8 %. Remember when you stighten onside you also are pulling the opposite side. Make adjustment evenly on bothsides, such as take up half a turn on port then half a turn and starboad etc.

Sorry about the type 'o's. Tighten not stighten Start with the uppers then lowers. insert "remember when you tighten oneside your pulling on the other". your back stay will be divide by two since you have a split system. SO 12% would be 6% on each leg.
