I want to add an uphaul to my H34. It is strictly for my whisker pole, as I don't have a spinny. I just wanted to get opinions on running the line aft( inside the mast) or running it straight down the front of the mast to a deck block with a cam cleat. The reason I am thinking of the later is that I single hand the boat a lot, and having the line and cleat terminate at the mast base will allow me to set the pole with only one trip forward - rather than two if I run it aft (clip on the uphaul, run back and raise it then forward again to set the length and hook the sheet). The draw back to this plan is that I have no winching capabilities and have to run forward to adjust uphaul. Any comments as to which way to go (and why) would be great. Cheers Adam
