Installing a Traveller On an H310

Has anyone ever tried to install a traveller on the arch of an H310 after market ? Like a fool, I listened to my dealer way back when and opted to get the poor man's version of a traveller and install a proper one at a later date after purchasing our 1999 H310 new. I am advised by Greg Emerson of Hunter that the traveller track is through bolted to the arch. After pulling back the vinyl edging on the arch, I see the arch cannot be pulled apart. Is there some ingenious technique which would allow the track to be through bolted to the arch or is it a case of living with the poor man's version ? Thanks for any ideas. inspection plates

You could use small inspection plates to get accesss to the inside of the arch (I think we are talking about a fiberglass arch)Or there are someother ideas. One is to use a insert into the arch or a toggle bolt type fastner. I am sure there is someway to mount a travler aftermarket. If you use the inspection plates you would be able to install backing plates also. Good Luck!

my 2001 290 has a flat stainless plate on top of arch and is very easy to add a traveler to it which is already on it from factory , you must have a different type of arch?

I Neglected to Mention ...................

.......... that the arch is the older fibreglass arch which makes it such a bear to work on. Regards, s/v Island Hunter
