I am looking for installation instructions for the above noted rope clutch which will be used for my vang sheet control from the cockpit...I have a 2009 H36, and already have the appropriate block attached in the proper location on the mast block plate...any and all help would really be appreciated...thanks, Kerbs

Why not move your jib halyard from the clutch to mast. Attach a block with cam to mast base plate and lock the halyard there. Use the freed clutch for vang. That's what I did.

Ken, good idea as well. The jib halyard does not get used all season.

Kerbs, I am going to do what you are looking at, I picked up a Spinlock at the boat show last year, but haven't got around to it yet. I was going to pull the headliner and see how the other clutches are attached. I understand there is a metal plate imbedded in the fibreglass for support ( can't remember where I read this ) and would probably drill and thru-bolt the clutch.

Thanks Ken and Scott for your input...I spoke with a guy at Hunter customer service...he said after the headliner is removed, must drill holes for the stainless steel 3"x1/4" machine bolts using the clutch template...then use a "420 tap" to set bolt threads into alluminum plate...still not sure if I'm going to attempt this myself or turn the job over to the Norton's Marine service folks here in Deltaville when I put the boat on the hard for the winter...thanks again for the help.
