Mast Up...tough
I have the upgraded stainless spreaders, but I would think that the lower shroud will hold the mast just fine while you loosen the upper shroud at the turnbuckle abit to get the shroud off the spreader boot area. The spreader would be a piece of cake to replace. The toughest part here is climbing the mast and having to use two hands to get the job done!! Are you comfortable in a bosun's chair, being hoisted up the mast? If you plan on going up then consider replacing the spreader boot on the opposite side as well. Personnally, I would rather pay someone to go up the mast and get it done for safety sake. Good luck Bob
