Installing a larger main sail

I have the chance to buy a good used main sail for my M25
It measures 25x27x10. These seem to be within inches of the factory sail, any advice out there on this issue?

Can you just ask for the opportunity to run it up once if it is a local buy or return it in some kind of time frame if it isn't?

Attach you old stock one and look------

Is there room to raise it higher or will you have to lower the boom or have the sail cut?

Check the out haul.

Will you have to lengthen the boom and maybe run into the back stay or have the sail cut?

Undo the tack and see how much you can raise the sail.

Lower you sail and add the new measurment of the used sail and see if it will fit.

suggestion, actually measure from the boom to the top of the mast and mast to end of boom. It really is something everyone should imo.
