Installing a Boom Vang

I am wanting to reinstall a boom vang on my "78" O'Day 25 that didn't come with the boat. At the mast base there are 2 plates welded in place. On the boom there is a stainless slot attached. As I look in all my hardware catalogs I am not able to find pieces to go into what is existing. Can anyone tell me what I am looking for to go on my vang ends?

Page - It sounds like what you need is a system with a snap shackle on the mast end and a length of wire with a ball swaged on the other to fit the slot on the boom. If you talk to any rigger they should be able to set you up with what you need. You will need to know the width of the slot so that you can specify the appropriate ball. Justin - O'day Owners' Web
