Just finished installing a Marvair CR330 Condensation Removal Kit for my Dometic 16k a/c unit on my 2009 H36. 1 hour and $139 from Defender. Half the price of the Mermaid Condensator. No more emptying gallons of a/c condensation from my bilge capture bucket, or having it end up in the bilge if I get lazy or forgetful. Very easy to install and silent. Will replace bucket with sealed Tupperware container with access holes in lid for a/c pan drain and evacuator hose. Gotta love a dry bilge.

I was just looking at this earlier today! Looks good. Why the tupperware bucket? Couldn't you go straight from the drain pan to the discharge?
Thanks and i am jealous,
Rob

Great question on going straight From drain pan to discharge. That is how the kit is designed, actually. Unfortunately the pan discharge outlet is larger than the 5/8” kit hardware - I think it’s 3/4”, as is the discharge hose. I may figure that out yet, as it would be a much cleaner installation. But I’ll need to wait until it’s cooler outside so I don’t need the a/c on while I’m working. Having it off for an hour today while working on it was torture.

It should be a simple fix to attach a 3/4 to 5/8 reducer and eliminate the bucket which kind of defeats the whole purpose - a sponge is all you need to avoid shutting off the A/C while fixing this. Neat job!

I've ordered exactly that, though I may have to do some unplugging/disconnecting to actually get at the pan itself. It may just be easier to cut the 3/4" outflow hose and use a reducer to connect it to the 5/8" kit host. Really do want to get the bucket out of the equation though.
