Beyond the jam cleat changes and the electronics console I installed, this improvement is my masterpiece (see photo forum). I installed a simple $35 inspection hatch (BoatUS) behind the sink basin on our 2000 Hunter 240. This is a huge improvement over reaching in under that lift-up table. Easy access to soda (and the good stuff we put INTO soda). Spring is here!

Thanks!

Eric Thanks for the neat photo. A very handy addition...last season I was working in the galley and had a quantity of soapy on that shakey little table and...you guessed it...I knocked the support stick away and SPLOOSH. What a mess. Your addition wouldnt have saved that mess but it would sure keep from having to lift the little table up all the time. Whats the story on all of the cool electronics in the photo? Have you posted photos of that work as well? Looks neat. Assume its a mini nav station. Thanks Bill Welsch S/V Renewal St Louis

Electronics box

I did post photos of the nav station/stereo/VHF unit and can send along the specs as a PDF file if anyone is interested. You can find those photos at the URL below.

Table lock

Just an FYI, I took one of those simple screen door hooks with the little eye bolt and installed it so that I could lock the table support when I had the table up, to prevent the inevitable knock the support/drop the table and spill everything all over accident. Worked great and prevented any further incidents.
