Going to drop the centerboard on my Mac25 this year. Inspect it, repair it if necessary and then reinstall. Boat has been in fresh water. I have boat blocked up on the trailer the main winch tight (recently replaced ) and ready to do the deed. The back end is still nestled in the "V" of the trailer and I'll use a saddle on the jack to keep it vertical. I should have no trouble dropping the front end for inspection and repair. However, I'm worried about getting it back up and the especially realigning the hole for the main pin after the work is done... I'll use auto jack to lower and raise BUT will the hole align? Or should I bring it in to my friendly boat yard and have this done on a boat hoist? Any and all recommendations welcome!
