The axle is bowed out but it seems that all is OK. I did tighten up the wheel bearings. I guess if it goes, it goes, as there is no one here in Colorado Springs that will attempt to replace or put another axle on.
Hi Frank When the tires on my 23.5 started to wear on the inside edge it was caused by severe rust inside the axle. My 1994 23.5 had a tubular steel axle that was not galvanized. It rusted from the inside out. Axle replacement is surprisingly easy to do with components from Champion Trailers. The quality is much better too. Alan
