We have a 2001 Hunter 380 and on a recent trip accross the lake we noticed the port side deck seemed to be moving to much. I talked to a couple of Hunter friends and it looks like my port side inner schroud could be loose or pulling away from the Hull attachment. I removed the woodwork to take a look and could see a locking bolt on the chain plate rod and what appears to be the top of the hull attachment. I can not see the base because fiberglass is blocking my view. I looked in the manual and it only shows a view to the deck. Has anyone come accross this problem and is there a solution.

The H376 has a similar arrangement - but it may not be exactly the same configuration.
The pic below appeared on this board in March 2006.
By way of explanation Hunter said the top edge of the hull was trimmed down too close to the hole for the large diameter bolt which holds the chainplate in place. The result was that the bolt pulled through.
Hope yours is not this problem.

BUT IF IT IS WE ALL NEED TO KNOW.

Please respond either way when you have pinned it down.

That looks pretty nasty, It is not my problem, the 38 has 2 point on each side that goes through the deck. My Concern is on the inside chainplate.

Thanks
