Any ideas on how to clean the goop off, and restabilize the rubber, or are these ruined and only good to use with a full fender cover? Think TaylorMade will guarantee/replace? Thx, Kile
Somebody used acetone or other solvent to clean em that broke down the rubber. They're toast...a cover will only get stuck to 'em. No, Taylor will not replace 'em.
I used two stroke outboard fuel (50:1 mix) to clean fenders after a month in the Dutch Canals. It worked very well and did not leave the plastic sticky. Good luck.
