Information needed

I just bought a 19'Hunter And do'nt have any information on it. The hull number is HUNCO198l990 and their does'nt seem to be any listed 19'boats built in 1990 ?? I do not have a owners manual or any writen information on this boat. The first think I would like to get is where I can get a owners manual and the second thing I need is an outboard to power it (what HP and long or short shaft??) I also need to find the best way to repair the wing keel (It has a little rust and peal and needs minor repair. Any information on the above would be aprecated.

I have a 23 that is powered nicelly for me with a 5 hp nissan/tohatsu , I am on a lake so no currents or tides to deal with , regardless of whether u stick with this size motor go with a long shaft, the new 4 strokes are quieter than the 2 strokes , but u pay more for them you probably could get by with a 3 or 3.5 or go up to a 9 horse, there are some 7 hps in there as well, u might check with hunter marine for their recommendation as to engine size, , as far as the keel goes there is a ton of info here in the archives, you can do it the whole 9 yards by stripping applying a rust prof , then epoxy then bottom paint, I stripped my entire keel and then talked to a man who has worked on sail boats for 20 years and he said it was a lot of work that was not needed, he suggested just stripping the rusty areas, so it is really up to you , hope you engoy the boat, , regards Mike Bacome
