Info needed on two boats...

I'm continuing to work on our Florida trip story and would like some info on the following two boats if anyone has it.

Boat number one is....



.... the one above. I'm just looking for who made it and the model. I remember seeing it somewhere before, but can't find that info.

Boat number two ...



....is Wind Horse and was designed and owned by Steve and Linda Dashew and has been in the Baltimore area recently. I'd like to know if they still own it and if it might be at the Annapolis Boat?

The first is a Seaward 26 (made by Hake). We have one in our marina bought new by a guy who had never sailed before yet fell in love with it at a boat show this year.

Thanks guys that answers the question if they still own the boat. I was going through our trip pictures last night organizing them and had the picture as they were anchored not too far from us on the Gulf side at Marathon last April. I started googling the boat and their whole story about them and the boat was really fascinating. One very smart person!

I found the one mentioned above of their site with the blog, but had to go to bed before I got through it all. It is very interesting and fascinating.

He is always looking at things on other boats be they under 30 feet or massive freighters that he can apply. I like that a lot and really like how functional Wind Horse is and how low key. Of course we are talking in relative terms here and some of the operating expenses and initial costs are kind of incomprehensible to me.

They definitely still own Wind Horse. They ducked into Oyster Bay (Long Island) to ride out Hurricane Irene a month or so ago on their way down to Baltimore. One hell of a boat! If you had the $$$$ to have one made (I think he mentioned there were a few in production now which had been ordered) you'd have more room than a small house to live aboard with the added benefit of being able to travel anywhere on the planet. The boat's set up so just he and Linda can handle anything that comes their way. Even their Sundeer and Deerfoot sailboats were designed to the same criteria; boats which an "older couple" could cruise around the world in complete ease and safety. Definitely check all their designs at setsail.com.

One of the interesting concepts of the Wind Horse design is the righting moment. The boat was designed similar to the North Sea Rescue boats in that in the event the boat was forced totally inverted or rolled, (caught in a hurricane in the middle of the ocean) the righting moment would bring her back to right side up!

Hake Yachts makes the Seaward boats (Nick Hake), formerly Starboard Yacht Company. They are located in Stuart, Florida.
