I recently bought a used 2000 H260. The owner had purchased roller furling as an option when the boat was purchased from the dealer, however I have no information about the furler. I just stepped the mast, but am not sure the furler unit is installed correctly. The part I am concerned about getting right before I complete rigging is the ropes that appear to go inside from the furler unit up to where it attaches to the mast. If anyone has or can point me to where I can get a manual or other information that both shows me what a correct installation looks like - and tells me how to do it - I would really appreciate it. I have been told not to waste my time with the local dealer.

Proper Mount a Safety Issue

I have a 26 with a CDI Flexible Furler. I bought the boat used and it did not come with the proper mast end mount. It has a stem ball type fitting and all that was on the boat was the spherical socket on the mast but not the clamp. So far I have discovered that CDI has nothing to do with the mount. I am missing a clamp piece that mounts to the mast. The local dealer is trying to find out what I am missing and if it is available. I should have known better but I screwed in a bracket that almost prevented the head stay stem ball from comming out. Almost, I suffered a dismasting while motoring in rough conditions. Fortunatly I suffered only hardware failure and my wife is OK. Now I need the stem ball fitting AND a mast shoe and gooseneck bushings for a 1994 H-26 (Isomat) spars. Any ideas? To be forewarned is to be safe. Learn the easy way unlike me.
