inflating fenders

is there any way to inflate fenders that have no valve for inflating? In the back of my mind I seem to remember that there is a way?? Also a good way to remove sticky residue on fiberglass hull, from a tape stripe that has gone bad? I am a little hesitant to use acetone.

Goo Gone should work. It took the duct tape residue off of my boat where the PO put the For Sale sign on.

I used Acetone but it just rubberized the glue. I tried the paint bushing liquid and it worked well. Lacquer thinner should also work.

Don't laugh but peanut butter works great. Use smooth not crunchy.

Paint thinner is my solvent of choice for just about anything requiring solvent. It will attack most, but not all adhesives, grease ( Safety solvent is paint thinner with green color added), cleanup of wood, mounting of motorcycle tires (yes, really) installation of golf club grips and on and on. It is fairly slow to evaporate but will dry away in reasonable time, making it nice to work with. I keep a pint aboard in a plastic soda bottle and find I use it constantly. It is as harmless as a solvent is going to be but works on the widest variety of problems. I've been addicted to it for over 40 years.

if it has a spot to insert a basket ball needle then you have a way to inflat if it does not i would think not ....also if they are taylor made you could take them to a vindor and just have them replaced as taylor made has a life time warrenty........

Jonah, If you take your fenders to the top of Mount Whitey, they should plump up nicely.
