I am looking to trailer the inflatable tender and motor. The purpose of this is not so much transporting the boat as much as saving our backs and safety during lacnch. Odly enough, age seems to have caught up w/ me and putting an 8 HP outboard on a dinghy that is thrashing around is not so easy anymore. Has anyone come up w/ an inexpensive and clever way to do this? Thanks

which one?

Tony, are you asking about a cheap/clever way way to trailer or mount the motor? I have seen people use the boom to lower the OB motor to the dinghy. You would need a OB lifting harness and then use your rigging know-how to fashion the tackle needed. As far as a tariler goes, I would buy a small inexpensive utility traler for transport. They make dinghy dollies but I would get one I could tow behind the vehicle.

Like Steve said,

If you are looking for something to 'trailer' behind a vehicle, I bought one from West Marine. It's in their catalog. Works great and I bought it during a secret sale, at employee-cost. What ever you do though, make sure it's galvanized.

Trailer?

I have two inflatables, a 14' and an 8'6". I aquired an old small boat trailer and changed the rollers for a pair of wood rails. I was thinking of a plywood deck, but haven't started on that yet. The 14'er fits real nice, a few straps, and off we go. I run an 8hp on the 14, and a 2hp on the 8'6".
