I am in need of replacing the foot pump for my dingy. I thought it would be a no brainer but as I shopped at West Marine I noticed many differant types. Mostly they were cheaply built. Is there a brand of foot pump that is of decent quality? Has someone invented a new mouse trap in the foot pump world that I should look at? thanks, Jack

In the day and age of $$$$, it doesn't make cent$ to build one that will last. They build them light and cheap so you will like how easy it is to carry one and will also need a new one in a few years. Besides, many are lazy these days and want an electrical pump :)

Jack, I've come across some very good...

quality foot pumps at our local thrift stores at very low prices. The one I have cost me less than $5 and it looks brand new. Terry

Bravo

West Marine carries Bravo foot pumps. I think they are pretty good value, except there are some parts on mine rusting. It gets harsh treatment, though.

Go battery powered

I have a 4 D cell inflator from Coleman. Bought it for uner $15. It will blow up anything, life rafts, toy, beds etc.

This site has it all.

These people have the pump thing cornered. I have the high speed pump. A bit pricy but worth every cent. It blows up our 10' boat in less than a minute and power deflates it to a small package for transport. Every time I use this, other boaters want to know where to get one.
