Has anyone had any luck with either making or buying inflatable battens to replace your existing battens?
I'm not talking about one of those hi-end systems with a central gas pressure feed running up the leach to each batten, for self-furling mains, etc. Just independent battens that can be filled to a pressure setting which would then be inserted in the same pockets as the old battens were.
Has anyone seen or heard of anything along these lines?

Haven't seen any. But I think it could be a viable product with experimenting. I'm an innovator with patents and product development xperience, and the philosophy that there's always/usually a better-way... With this innovation I think new sails would need to accomodate the new batten specs.

Air is what holds 18 wheelers above pavement. Why Not, Eh??? Bda1st!!! Roger :)
