I was looking at a 30 Oday that is sitting onstands and we noticed indents above the water line on the side hull both sides,right in line with the mast, is this common, have seen it on two boats same model.
Dwight, My 1978 O'Day 30 has the same issue. I purchased the boat last summer and did not notice the indents. This spring after a winter on the cradle I still did not notice this issue even while waxing the hull etc. Now only two weeks after putting the boat back in the water the indents seemed to have appeared. I have done a cursory inspection on the inside and found no apparent reason that would have caused this. Sorry I'm not adding anything to answer your question but hopefully the added detail might spark someone else to offer an explanation / solution. Good Luck, Pete
