I'm curious to know if anyone has a Cherub. 25 with an inboard engine in it. I have a 1976 with an inboard and think them a bit rare as I have never seen another without an outboard motor. I'm currently trying to rebuild mine and using an outboard in the meantime.

I'd like to see pictures of your boat. I wasn't aware they existed. Pat

Hey Pat,

Can you live aboard at Lake Lanier? I'm transferring to either Ft. Mcpherson or Ft. Gillem in a couple of months, and I'm considering buying a boat rather than wasting money on rent. How brutal would the commute be every day?

No liveaboards in the state, technicly

unfortunatly, this law was passed back in the 80's. I don't see any hope of a repeal. There are however alot of people who spend alot of time enjoying their boats. The commute from Lanier would basicly suck rocks, 1.5-2hrs each way. You might consider West Point Lake and a slip on the Alabama side. It puts you a on the SW quarter to Atl and about 60-80 miles away without crossing thru downtown and the major corridors. pat

That's what I figured

about the daily drive & living aboard. I lived in Atlanta in 2002, and only went to Lake Lanier on weekends. The traffic still sucked, even on a Sunday afternoon. I absolutely love West Point Lake. I kept my Catalina 25 there, and spent every weekend aboard. If there was no wind, I'd motor across the lake to a quiet cove and anchor out overnight. My boat was there when the tornado touched down and destroyed the covered docks & damaged a bunch of boats. I was on the downwind side of the dock, so a brand new Mac 26 suffered all the damage. It had to be sent back to the dealer for rebuild, but my C25 had zero damage. Now they've built the nice new docks, & sailboats are completely separated from the stinkpots. I guess I'll have to load my H25 onto its trailer & drop it off at West Point on my way to Hotlanta. Thanks for the info.

Randy,

If you were last here in '02, then nothing's changed, just gotten worse. Enjoy West Point, I get down there once a year to service 4-5 of the big boats. Pat

Uh oh, better get back on topic!

No, I've never seen an H25 with an inboard, but I'd like to. I did a quick check on "model info", but didn't find it under Ameribritalia. Of course, I always have lousy luck with search results, I'm not much of a computer geeker. What do you guys think about black holes? Do you think they might really be wormholes in space/time that would transport astronauts into different dimensions?
