I have a '91 Hunter 30T. I've noticed increasing side to side 'wobble' in the rudder post and suspect the bearings are shot. Does anyone have experience/ideas for doing in water rudder repairs like this? Because of flooding in TX, the travel hoist on our lake is not an option.

Loose Rudder Post Repair

Check out the article titled "Repairing a Loose Rudder" posted in "28.5 Articles" on the website: huntertwentyeightfive.com Typically the top bearing can be poorly anchored to its plywood support platform and several layers of epoxy/fiberglass cloth can be applied and new holes drilled in the plywood. At least open it up and inspectthe tightness of the bolts 1st.
