Hello All
I did a thread search for kits and didn't get a hit but I'm certain that what I'm asking for has already been answered someplace on here... so apologies in advance for the repeater question.
I have made a hobby of fixing up badly neglected sailboats and Monday I purchased a 1975 Rhodes 22. This one has a nice hull and rigging but the interior is wreaked. I once chartered a very nicely tricked out Rhodes 22' with a low profile head, with a modest holding tank and electric macerator. The set up was very nice. The "head chamber" door folded right up against the head and took up almost no room but then folded out into the main salon (accordion style) to make a nice size room when you had business to do.
I'd really like to install something like this in my new project boat but I have never owned a boat with a true head before (only port-o-potties). I've tried to search the on-line chandlers (since I don't live near the shore) but I'm certain that if I tried to order all the parts I needed I would certainly overlook something important and critical or get parts that didn't fit etc. and spend forever getting this done right (and at a higher price for all of the wrong parts I ordered).
So... does anyone know of a kit where you buy the head, tank macerator, tubing, deck plates, through hulls and valves, etc. etc. for a small marine head set up in one complete package? Does anyone know enough about it to put a package together for me (I'd be willing to pay a modest consulting fee). Am I making too much of this project in my mind? I've done a lot of things to an old boat but I'll be honest, the idea of installing a head has me feeling a bit intimidated.
I've added a picture of the layout including the folding door around the head...
Thanks in advance
Rob
