Please let this be a reminder for all of us to be responsible when on the water and not do dumb $&@$ with a sense of entitlement that it’s the USCG’s job to save us ... and that also goes for all of us in situations where we are ordered to evacuate ... helicopter SAR is extremely dangerous for all involved and real families can lose real loved ones. God bless the crew of CG-6505 and CG-1420 and their friends, families, and colleagues who still suffer from their loss.
