IN mast main sail furling mechanizm

Dear sailors
I own a beneteau oc 440 model 1993 sailing yacht.
The mast is ZSPARS with in mast furling main-sail .
I want to overall the bearings of the unit without taking it out,
as the unit can be disconnected from the mast only by stepping down the mast-a procedure I am trying to avoid.
Will appreciate any advice regarding the possible use or experience using
the openings in the mast and special tools needed

I don't think that's what he's looking for. I looked at some pics of the
440 model and the mast furler is not like most that I have seen. I don't see anyway to access the furler mechanism without dropping the mast. It seems like a crazy setup. If it's stiff turning you might get away with a low pressure wash of the bearings with fresh water. You shouldn't use any lubricating spray as it will attract dirt.

Joker460 is correct - The unit cannot be taken out without stepping down the mast - a procedure I am trying to avoid.
I am thinking of building a special tool to open the bearings of the furling unit
through the opening in the mast.
