Oday 322 Falmouth Cornwall U.K.
Two years ago we inported an O'Day 302 from NJ to the U.K. We have had two fantastic years sailing her of the coast of Cornwall. We liked her so much that we went and bought an O'Day 322 from Key West. We now have a problem ....in order to make the 322 legal over here we need to know her stability curve, whith the 302 we got her IMS Rating Certificate No 19550 from U.S. Sailing, and were able to get the curve from that, but we can not get any figures for the 322 can anyone please help ?

Call or write to Rudy

It's been said here many times before, and this time it seems really apt: Contact Rudy at D&R Marine. If anyone might have those data, it'd be him. D&R Marine, 14 Water Street, Assonet, MA 02702 Phone: 508 644-3001 Fax: 508 644-3002 I checked my own survey, and none of the necessary data were in it. Good luck, and enjoy the 322. I know I love mine. Pete s/v EmmieLou (O-322) Little Silver, NJ Remember: Owners' rOnDAYvous, July 13-15, Milford, CT

Getting her home

Mike, I forgot to ask: How are you getting the 322 home to the UK? On her own bottom? I ask because I'd love to travel with mine (at least to Bermuda), but would want to be sure she was up to it. Pete s/v EmmieLou (O-322) Little Silver, NJ Remember: Owners' rOnDAYvous, July 13-15, Milford, CT

322 to UK

She is in the U.K. I used a shipping company called A.E.S. I also used them to bring the 302 over..... if ever you need to ship a boat ask for Marianne at AES. Had the same problem with the 302. I contacted Rudy then but he could not help. In the end I paid $20 for an IMS certificate and got all the info from that. The problem is that the 322 has never had aN IMS certificate. Thanks for the reply though and if your ever in Cornwall look me up and come for a Sail Thanks Mike

If you're ever...

...in New Jersey again, be sure to look me up. If it's in-season, we'll go out on my 322. Cheers, mate. Pete s/v EmmieLou (O-322) Little Silver, NJ

Little Silver

Do you sail out of Little Silver.. if so you have a long way to go to open water. Do you have to go up past Gunning island and onto Highlands or is there anywhere else that you can lock out. Looks to be good sailing though ......It Would be nice to do a trip Thanks again Mike
