The louvered vent in the main bulkhead went in last Saturday, and took less than an hour. I secured the vent in place by screwing four brass screws in from the forepeak side. It looks great and although the airflow is less than I expected, it does work. If you try this yourself, cut through the bulkhead from the forepeak, and not from the main cabin like I did. That way the ragged edges of the cut will be covered by the louver frame. The opening port in the cockpit footwell will have to wait until I finish fixing my trailer. Peter S/V Raven

The hole in the bulkhead was just large enough for the louver to slide in and it's a snug fit. I used six #8 x 5/8" brass flathead wood screws, screwed in from the back (forepeak side). They are countersunk in the bulkhead, which is 1/4-inch marine ply. It's solid. Peter
