removehtml]At long last, we have merged the owner directory (profiles) with the forum registration database. This sets us up for many exciting features to come, but even now it will be easier to control your owner profile, forum prefs, and what appears on your posts. Here's what's new: - One login controls both your profile and forum prefs. - All categories for profile information now accept multiple photos which you can embed in the text. You can also use this feature to modify any existing information in your profile. This is new technology and we think you'll like it! We're hoping you'll post photos of your cruising area, crew, race trophies, modifications, etc. So that's the good news. Here are the bumps: - This was a grueling and imperfect process involving data that was up to 10 years old and originally imported from a FoxPro database, as I recall. - While our tests look good, it is possible there could be data missing from your profile. - 90-plus percent of the records look great, but if you're in the unlucky 5-10% you may need to create a new forum reg record. I know of ten records we lost for certain. Don't ask. IMPORTANT! I've decided to keep the forums open during the transition, which will take about 24 hours. The basic forum functions will work just fine but you could experience some problems regarding login or profile. Please be patient; I figure it's better have a few bumps than to close the forum for hours. I will update this post when the transition is complete. As always, thanks for your support during our remodeling! PhilError: Error: expected [/URL], but found [/removehtml] instead[/removehtml]

Interesting changes in format > Now the latest post is at the end

instead of at the top of the thread. That's how it is on the woodenboat forum.

Problem changing E-Mail

Hello Phill, Your post inspired me to update my profile. I had to change my E-mail a few months back. When I change it in my profile it will change but not stick. Not sure what I am doing wrong. Thanks Scott On Eagles Wings

owner profiles

You can access them two ways: click the name of a forum participant (like mine, to the left of this post), or search for an owner in the owner directory.

Phil, I've tried to change my avatar but after it uploads it then shows my current one. How do I change my avatar? I'm sure I must be doing something wrong.. Also any news on multiple photos in a single post? Many times I've had to make two, three or four posts to show the pictures of a particular process.. That would be a great feature but I know you and I have discussed it before! Keep up the good work!

I think you've got the new on loaded... go to any of your posts, then hold down the shift or the command key while you click the browser's Refresh button. That forces your browser to reload the image from our server. The new one is a boat with a blue hull shot from aft port quarter? The new profiles use a multiple photo technique that we'll incorporate into the forums... if it works and is easy to use. Check it out!

Password Change???

Hi all.. Been a week since I have logged on, and when I did, it didn't recognize my password. I had my password sent to my email on file, and it was one that was not mine for sure. I figured it must have had something to do with this. So, I went to my profile and went to "edit" things, but not letting me change it. Is it just me??? No way I will be able to remember the password they made for me. If you want to email what I am doing wrong, remove the NOSPAM from this picklefreekNOSPAM@yahoo.com, and of course I will be checking here for replies. Thanks in advance, and of course a big THANK YOU to Phil and all who keep this going. You guys rock!!

We're going to have a few problems like this... we missed some dupes because of different email addresses in each record. I've got the good records matched up with each other now so you're good to go. The avatar I see shows you and your hound in PFDs. Is that right?
