@LeslieTroyer has one of the best “back ups” storage lockers in the boat world. When a starter motor appeared to be acting up, he jumped into the cabin, whipped out a starter motor replacement and slapped it into the motor compartment as if it was a common practice.
I think if he could figure out where to store it, he would carry a spare diesel motor. My luck he’d throw it in the front cabin then tell me I’m sleeping with the motor, on our next Extreme Cruising adventure.
I keep reminding him, he has a second propulsion system. “It’s the sails. it’s the sails man...”
