I read that a month or two ago. Great article! From what I've heard, you haven't been to Isle Royale unless your keel touches down. Every year that trip is on the list of places to go but the summer flies by and we haven't gotten there yet, but there's always next year! I did backpack the entire length one year but I want to see it from the water now.

A new destination is so much better than the same old places. If I don't hit the bottom at least once in a new place I feel that I wasn't getting close enough.
