I really missed my daily fix of SBO! Got dragged off to the Smokys for 2 weeks- and it rained for 11 of 13 days. Saw alot of power boats, mostly bass boats or pontoons on the lakes. Saw NO sailboats. And the admiral wants to move.

Based on the rain, I think an Ark might make sense. I'm not sure Noah would enjoy it.

I pulled the carb on my kicker before I left and rebuilt it, so tomorrow I'll reinstall and see if I've done any permanent damage.

Can't wait to get on the boat tomorrow morning. Bringing a cooler for breakfast...it's gonna be a great day! (after I wash off all the bird poop, of course; thank goodness I have my dependable topsiders).

It took me 2 days to read the postings I missed. I'm really miffed I didn't get to comment on the invisible boat, or the mystery brass plug, or, or, or... thesailordude's wanting to store gas in the cabin... gosh, I could have had a field day!! Happy to be back, appreciative of the posters and the great responses.. I'm gonna have to go to NewPortRichey to see Patrick's "free boat" (c'mon, there's no such thing!). Maybe Ed S. will run over too if I buy...

It sure is strange how addicted I get to reading the threads when I can't be in the boat. I wish I were back in California to be near the water (but not the traffic and expenses).

Bad O, Benny- you guys just don't understand!

i didn't start drinking till I was 38, so I'm sure I missed alot, but I did discover that beer right after morning coffee is a pleasure I never knew existed! Seperately, both good. But together, bliss! (of course, by together I mean post consumption- the burp from the beer tastes like coffee ice cream!!).

I just recently found out Drew Carey's home brew (Buzz Beer) was coffee flavored beer!!
If only it wasn't fictional...and yeah, I know I'm sick.

Benny, while I respect your boundaries regarding alcohol, it couldn't work for me. First rule of the boat? No clocks, no watches, no time... besides, it's 5 o'clock somewhere, right?

Rad, most of the clever stuff was said, I just wanted to say it first- I guess I could say it's the 1st boat Maine Sail couldn't find anything to clean on... or it's a Somali defense prototype... or can't you guys recognize a submarine when you don't see it? see, nothing clever left to say...

Are you talking about the Smoky Mountains? If so I spent many a vacation there as a kid. We lived in Ohio. We would spend a weekend in Gatlinburg a week in Myrtle Beach and a weekend in the smokys on the way back. Last year I took a business trip to ohio and Jeannette and I got to stop in the Pigeon Forge for a couple of days on the way back. That was nice.
