I'm searching for a 1970s CT-41 or a Yankee Clipper 41 or similar boat in 'project' boat condition. Anyone know of any such neglected aging beauties anywhere that are in need a new lease on life and a good home? All replies are appreciated.

Thanks for the reply

Thanks for the comeback! I saw the photo in your reply and must say that your pride and joy looks a w s o m e, but .... I really did mean I was fishing around for a project boat. Please keep me in mind if you happen to see a CT-41 or a Yankee Clipper 41, or anything that may be an offspring of the 'Formosa' family in some remote corner of some rundown marina, in your wanderings. Safe sailing, and have a great day!

Project Boat

Watch on ebay or other sites for some of the boats coming off the Gulf Coast. There are lierally tons of boats that have sustained at least some damage from Katrina and Rita. Ins. co's and salvagers will be flooding the market with these before long, if not already. You might contact some of them and tell them what you are looking for. Your a pretty good distance from here, so something from this area might be out of the question for you. Just a thought.

Hurricane battered ?

Thanks for the suggestions. I've been doing what you suggested but ... I guess what's needed is more time. You're right about tons of boats being battered by last year's hurricanes, but among the several hundred that I've seen offered on the salvage market, there hasn't been a single CT or Formosa. Like I said, I guess it just takes time. Thanks for the reply - Harry
