If you trailer, a CDI furler is a good option. I have one on my Compac 23 and it is pretty good.
My boat sits in the slip through the summer. In the late fall I will remove it and store it on a trailer for the winter.
The CDI furler isn't hard to install. It isn't priced too high either. The other thing that is nice about it is that it is somewhat flexible so it is better for a trailer sailor.
I've read more than a few posts that the CDI is a PITA for a boat that is trailered a lot.
When I bought my boat i considered the furler a must have. Minimal need to go on the foredeck etc.
The 2 times I've stepped and un-stepped my mast makes me dislike my CDI already.
Multiply that by 12 times a summer and I can see myself hating it.
Maybe my time sailing 18ft beech catamarans, is tainting my opinion, but IMO hanks are so much simpler than a furler for a small boat like the C22.
CaptDon, a diehard hank-on fan, posted a thread a while ago about him getting a Harken 436 Cruising Furler:

In the March 2015 Mainbrace issue he discusses drawbacks to the CDI unit, and advantages to the Harken.
I have yet to damage my foil, but I have also read other forums where people complain about the same issues.
So far my perspective is simply based on the hassle of stepping/unstepping the mast.
If I kept my boat in a marina all summer, I probably would keep the furler though.
At this point it may get sold next year and I'll use the money to buy a storm jib.
