We just finished our 1 week charter in Tortola with Sunsail...I'm not at all impressed with Sunsail! They didn't give me the boat that I reserved back in July, I had to adjust EVERY hatch on the boat (they would not stay open), both cockpit speakers were blown (they replaced them while I was waiting to depart. Two fans down below did not work. Provisioning was not ready (they expected me to wait an additional 3-4 hours so they could provision..NOT!)My wife and her friend ended up doing the provisioning so we could leave the base in a timely fashion. All in all, the base was very poorly run and disorganized. Never again with Sunsail! Moorings here I come! Sunsail aside, the weather was great, the sailing was great, the painkillers were great, and we had a fabulous time.

Maybe Try Conch Charters

That's what we did. About 1/3 the price as Sunsail or Moorings. Granted they have a smaller, older selection of boats, but they are in good working order. I guess it depends if you want to pay more for the newer boats IMO. But everything was ready on time as promised which is unusual for anything on island time. Bill K S/V Slapshot

BVI Chartering

Mark, you won't be sorry with the Moorings. We've chartered with them out of Tortola for nine trips, and have never been disappointed. Only last year, when we wanted a two-cabin forty five foot boat were we forced to charter with a different company out of St. Thomas. Unfortunately, all of the Moorings boats, at least at that time, were three-cabin versions, and the two aft cabins are really tiny for two people.
