678 miles solo in two weeks. I was only off the boat for about 6 hours. Best cruise in Strider yet and absolutely no complaints from or about the crew.

High points were broad reaching reaching between the Petit Manan light and bell at 6.5 knot in 50 yard visibility and a genuine white squall in Passamaquoddy Bay that I'll have to tell you about when I have more time.

Welcome back Roger. Glad to here you did not have to keelhaul your crew

I am setting out on Sep. 4th for 2 weeks. Yes, leaving on a Friday.

If you want to put some more miles under your keel you should consider the Northeast Harbor Race. It is primarily a cruiser's race. We assign a provisional PHRF. It is a great overnight sail and last year we had a great time. We will have a nearly full moon to sail by.

Exactly. It was no different than any other overnight passage except we had to leave at a specific time, keep all land to port and sail to a specific destination. Northeast Harbor is probably the cruiser's capital of Mt. Desert I. It is a wonderful place to spend time. Free buses to take you anywhere in Acadia national park or over to Bar Harbor.
