ha. I'm 'thinking' of buying every pretty boat I see! It's probably available. I haven't spoken to the owner about her yet. One of those (now very common) marina owner taking it because of unpaid dock fees.
It would be very low money.... but I need to find out what it is First.
I may go visit it again today... measure it . So what's a lot like a Flicka but a pointed stern??

Yeah.... I'm down to only three sailboats.... but I picked up three kayaks this summer so... not sure I'm making progress.

Don't know what it is either.

i think you have nailed it!
now to google some more to see photos. I bet money that's what it is.
Now wondering about the possibility of owning it. A bit big for me though. I have a compac 16ll
that I have up for sale and always thought the smaller the boat the better it is for using it More....
then I see something like this and it all goes out the window!

i so wish I had found an 18 foot version of the Flicka... not something even bigger (and harder to trailer).

My first thought was the Dana 24.... after closer study I vote for Tom's choice. The Pacific Seacraft 25
Both are awesome boats made by Pacific Seacraft... click the picture to link to an article about each.

Based on rudder and windows, definitely a 25, maybe it's optical illusion but it looks like the 24 has a bigger cabin

it is definitely a 25. thanks. i guess after the 25 design and having a new designer for the next boat, they worked on cabin space big time. Even the flicka 20 seems like it has more room. it has more standing headroom for sure. The 25 was designed based on the old workboats, with their low sheer for pulling in net's, fish, etc. the design is so different than the dana (obviously). They gave up some length of cockpit for that bigger cabin, as you can see from these two drawings. The 25 is so much Prettier.
I wonder what this boat might be worth considering it does need some work.... though mostly it needs a good cleaning. i may just Save it from a slow death, clean it up and sell it. I can't really afford a boat of this size.

Well if it is a marina salvage for slip fees... you might get it for a very good price. I'd ask the marina owner if you could simply take over the storage fees in exchange for the title. At my marina there are three such boats on the hard and I know the owner just wants them gone but doesn't have the time to market and sell them for top dollar. I've flipped 6 sailboats in the past and what I've learned is you have to enjoy working on the boat... as an hourly wage sort of thing it is not profitable... but if it is a boat you have some affection for, it might be a lot of fun to fix it up. But you don't want to have to buy sails and a motor... you never get your money back on that... but if all you need to do is a simple pressure wash + fresh paint, and new cushion covers you can turn a profit have some fun and maybe sail a great boat for a season or two.

Exactly how I think.
I've done it a number of times also.
I asked today what it would cost me to have it pulled out near me in Kingston, NY and stored for the winter. $830 plus tax. Not too bad really. We'll see.
