Identify a Plastimo Compass for 2016 Beneteau Oceanis 38

Hello Sailors,

See the attache photo from the parts website. I am in need of the gasket only. The Beneteau catalog does not go that deep. I would have to get the entire compass simply to get the gasket. The part number does not correspond to any conventional Plastimo compass as well. Any suggestions?

Email Platismo with compass number to determine if they could provide a replacement gasket. May have to cannabolize a gasket from a used compass or purchase similar gasket material & fabricate one, using the original gasket as a template.

Is the compass binnacle mounted or bulkhead mounted?
Maybe make a gasket out of butyl?
Easy to make

Fabricate from similar rubber pad available at the big box store. First make a template from cardboard then transfer it to the rubber gasket. First cut the holes with a hole punch then with a sharp blade cut the inside circle then the outside. It may not look as good as the factory made one but it will cost much less and no one sees it anyway.
