We have a 1990 Vision 32 with the island icebox. We want to add refrigeration. The Norcold SCQT-4407 seems to be a good choice based on price and ease of user installation. It is usable for up to 6 cu/ft, and doesn't have the freezer compartment, which we dont want/need. Has anyone installed it ? Is there a better option ?

...but I like your idea of no having a freezer box. It just takes up space and we found we didn't use it much. Just a bag of ice in the bottom would last a long time. That box is well insulated, alto adding some foam insulation tape around the lid and putting a cork in the drain makes it better. Rick D.

Ice box conversion
I installed the Norcold icebox conversion unit on my Hunter 33. It was an easy installation and has worked well. I installed mine under the sink. The only modification required was some ventilation covers above and below the compressor unit to dissipate the heat. You will also have to run some 110V and 12V power to the unit.
