I just purchased an O'day 34 and found that the ice box pump doesn't seem to draw a suction and won't pump.It seems loose around the seal and was wondering if this is repairable or where to get a new pump.
What kind of pump is it? (manfucturer). It is most likely a single action reciprocal pump and if not used, the leathers inside might dry up. Try getting moisture into the pump to see if that doesn't resurrect it. Otherwise, they are pretty simple in nature and you should be able to buy a replacement easily. But, since I don't know exactly what you have, I cannot comment specifically.
On our O'Day 35, same as a 34, our leathers were shot. Using Super Lube helped. However, once repaired found that it took a lot of pumping to empty the ice box in an uncomfortable position. So installed a small electric pump with filter below the sink that drains both the ice boxes at the same time. Doesn't take long and sure is easier. Can post pictures if you wish.
