Ice Box Drain

I have a 1982 Catlaina 30 TR. Currently the ice box dtains directly into the bilge. I think it would be pretty easy to connect it into the sink drain by adding a T into the sink drain and maybe a valve to aoid back flow. Anybody see any problems with the above fix???

i have a 91. at some point catalina made what you are contemplating standard. i'm sure catalina can help you.

Foot Pump

I have an 89 Cat 30 and the original owner purchased the boat with a pump for overboard discharge of the icebox. Not exactly sure why as he also purchased it with refrigaration. The refrigation no longer works, which I do not mind as I understand they just suck down the batteries. I just replaced the Whale Foot Pump and traced the lines. The pump is connected to the icebox drain and tees in at the sink. Actually as you pump the water backs up into both sinks. This should be an easy addition.
