I want to sail across Atlantic. Looking for a boat for delivery

It so happened that I will have free time in January and February and I would like to complete my dream of sailing across Atlantic (from Europe). I don't have a boat on that side though. So I thought, perhaps, someone here wants his boat delivered from Europe to Caribbean for the season? I am not looking to make money on this so I will do it really cheap, I am just interested in the experience.

Could someone also point me to most appropriate places to ask this question?

You might try CruisersForum.com. How much experience do you have? Without a lot of experience and a captain's license don't expect to get paid.

I have about 15 years of experience, including crossing Indian Ocean. Have IYT license. I don’t care much about being paid, I have other sources of income, just want the pleasure of it.

January/February are not the typical times to make that crossing, so that might make your search a little more difficult.

Why not? The only reason to leave in December is to get to Caribbean in time for Xmas. The weather in January is fine, trade winds blow till March.

For some reason I assumed you were leaving from the UK, but that's probably because I have UK on the brain today. You are right if leaving from the Med, though the ARC is in November. I hope you find something, it would be an interesting trip. You may want to check some of the crew websites: Crewseekers, FindACrew, Yotspot, etc. There are others.
