I want to purchase a bimini top for my 23.5. I was intrested to know where and what type that other owners have had success with. Can you use them while under sail? Anything else I might need to know before ordering? George

I have a bimini on my '93 Hunter. It came
with the boat. I can sail with the bimini up but it does limit my vision from the cockpit. You can order a bimini from the canvas shop on this website for $339. All you have to do is install it. Hayden

Bimini
I purchased a pre-measured bimini from the canvas shop for my 1988 H23. Good product. I had to move my main sheet forward about a foot. I just drilled out the pop-rivits, moved it forward and reattached with stainless steel sheet metal screws. Installation was very easy. I purchased the adjustable supports from Boat US to replace the rear nylon straps. I have good visibility. Well worth it. Gets a little hot on light air days on Lake Michigan.

Hayden, how diffucult was installing?
I have a `93 23.5, and very much need a bimini, just not sure about how hard it is to install. I went to the Canvas shop website, and it only mentions that it bolts down. But to what? I assume the aft rails, but what about the front or sides.

OK; So you did'nt E Maile Me; Some times it's easier to explain over the phone some of the details, Any way, here's the basics; 1. call Overton, and get there catalog- 1-800-334-6541 2. order a 3 bow, 6foot lenght 31"-36" hight 79" to 84" width and a set of 3' mounting slides. $$ some where in the 275.00 for all. 3. mount same. (this is where the phone call would have come in handy.) You'll have to do some cutting for hight, and mount the slides in the right place, but it works just like the big boys. Good luck !! Dave B.

The chandlrey can order you a prefit bimini for your boat. I suggest Ameriseam as they have the exact measurements for the 23 wing, 23.5, 240, 26, 260, 270 and so forth. They make great products. I found them many years ago and introduced them to Hunter Marine. They have changed hands several times but I know the current owner and he takes pride in his workmanship. You will need to advise if you have stern rail seats and the year of your boat. If you have a 234 wing, then advise if you have an aftermarket stern rails. See if the Chandlrey can get you one?
