There is a C309 and an H306 in our marina and I think the C309 is a far better looking boat than the H306, which looks bloated to me. Maybe it is just the C309 length advantage.The C309 has a nicer sheerline, has sheet winches near the helm instead of the cabin top and I think the C309 has a 3 cylinder diesel vs 2 cylinder in the Hunter. The C309 cockpit looks larger and you will enjoy that extra space. Not sure how the interiors compare. You'll probably be happy with either boat. BTW, not sure if this is accurate, but heard somewhere that Catalina was moving all it's manufacturing to their Largo, FL facility, something about the economic and tax situation in California. Might want to visit the Hunter and Catalina plants in FL, only a few hours apart. Enjoy the search.

lol buy what ye wants---cpt creels hunter was designed when they were decent--the newer of alladam boats is ugly and tooo same same--all look the same until ye get inside---they will not go to south pacific. they twistoflex in racing conditions. they created a lack of passion when i saw them..i bought a formosa. buy what ye likes and have a realllly gooood time. sorry stu--catahuntebenelinas donot work for me. they may work for someone else tho--i only pan them as a potential for me and for loooong cruising.. the cherubini hunters are very good. cherubini is good. hunter is bad....lol......just buy what turns you into a passionate fool and have a really goood time.
