Splashing!

Good to hear, Mike. Are you still using that appendage on the stern for non-wind type motive power or have you finally gotten your new saildrive installed? Here's hoping you can live up to your hype in July, but I'm sure you will. Went out for a couple of hourse this afternoon with a friend, hit just about 7 kts during the puffs, so the bottom can't be too bad. Good sailing, see you soon! We should start North sometime after Memorial Day. Bill Coxe, O40 Kukulcán, New Bern, NC

yes I have

an ugly appandage hanging off the back of my stern. I need to do something about that. It STILL does not go low enough into the water. Next year I'm either going to spend the $$ for a new diesle or sell the boat and buy a new boat (one with a diesel.and one that's a bit faster)

Ah, to splash...

Nice that you're floatin'. Hard to believe but the old OMC is sitting in the salon while the impeller and seals are replaced. I have been in contact with the guys who make the electric power plant. It takes 3 batteries and you will need some way to generate electricity for long hauls but all it takes is two small holes through the hull to install it. Once the OMC is out there is room for the batteries and a small generator. Cost is less than the Honda or Yamaha SD. Worth thinking about.
