My O'Day dragged anchor and washed up on a sandbar - no damage, but the rudder sailed away, I'd like to mkae a new rudder, can another helpful O'Day 25 owner mark a paper template of their rudder, so I can get a new one cut to size - thank you, this would be much appreciated, I love sailing and can turn my hard to carpentry, but I can't afford a new off the shelf rudder. Thank you.

I've got an oday 26. Will that work? It is in the water and it maybe a couple of weeks before I can get this done for you. . .
That would be a HUGE help - I would really appreciate this. It looks the same shape in the images I can see, but a rudder for an oday 26 costs $700 more than for an oday 25 - I imagine there must be some difference - but I think it might be only that it is a bit larger! if I can get a template it will at least have the main shape for me, I am going to have to check the pintels positions manually myself anyway! I wouldn't mind a larger rudder, it can only help steer me better! I am based in Sarasota Florida if you are anywhere near! otherwise I will send you an parcel for postage back to me - thank you for this, very helpful.
Do you want a paper pattern or some other material? I'll try and capture the profile and foil shape. Will that be enough? I guess you could transfer it to luan and see if it will fit. I'm on the other side of the country from you.
