I realize this is a racing question; and it's posted on the racing forum as well. I'm in the final weekend of our race season at Lewis & Clark Yacht Club; I'll get the second place trophy unless someone can supply me with a PHRF on the 310 (any location) With a PHRF, I can avoid the regression formula and it should push me to 1st place. Thanks for the help.

Phantom 310

Thane, I checked a number of websites and found no listing for the "Hunter Phantom 310". Suggest you go to www.metafind.com for a great search engine and review the various ratings for yourself, though. Also, look at www.well.com/user/pk/YRAphrf.html for a compilation of various yacht club phrf ratings. Detroit's included some odd numbers for Hunter 30-1 and 30-2, whatever that is..... Good luck! And Check Sail Area Calculation!

Just checked your phrf using the regression formula and came up with two ratings, depending on whether I plugged in the sail area from the boat specs (545 sf) or let the formula calculate it (464 sf). If the latter number is right (my math really can't be trusted, even using a spreadsheet!), then your regression formula phrf is 140. I think..... So check to make sure that the formula is using the CORRECT numbers to rate your boat! Michael O'

Narragansett Bay & $30

Narragansett Bay will calculate your PHRF for $30. You can contact them via their website: http://phrf-nb.org/ or email: PHRFAdmin@phrf-nb.org Had my 340 on Lake Oahe rated. Interesting number which would suggest to me that a comparable number would put you rightfully in first place <grin>
