For those of you who haven't been able to sleep from wondering what I came up with. We riveted eye straps on each spreader then attached shroud cleats to hold each end of the 1/4" braided line. Time will tell if this works. Thank you for all y'all's input.

Nice looking solution. May your deck and rigging be shitless! Let us know how it plays out.

So, there's only one, count them one, finger on this big-ass dock that has probably 30 boats tied up to it that has goose crap on it. Betcha can't guess who is tied up there!

Is it you...again?

Tomorrow I'll take some pics of the wheels on my provision cart and power washer. The kerfs in the wheels are all loaded up from our last trip down the pier. My sympathies, but your geese are now up here!

"It's me again, Margaret."

And we still have geese. We have quite the breeding population.

I had the same problem but decided to use stainless steel safety wire rather than rope or fishing line. I epoxied aluminum eyes to the mast on both sides about 3" above the spreaders. I then used safety wire twisting pliers to tightly attach the safety wire to the shrouds and then to epoxied eye on the mast. It's been there for a year and works great.

So you are saying 270's are special because the birds are selecting the boats to copulate on, nest and raise chickies in?
While this is possible... could also be that the 270's are in the marina longer and more often then the other boats.... Just exploring all possibilities... Nothing in this is written to disparage the Catalina 270 or their owners....

I wonder if you stop feeding them if they will go away....

Nah, maybe as simple as the things are on the trailers waiting for the 8 days that the ice is gone. :)

Meriachee: What is your mast height? I am curious if the 32' mast for a tall mast 250 is stolen from your boat. Chief
